SINGAPORE, 20 May 2026 – GenZero, a Temasek-owned investment platform focused on accelerating global decarbonisation, today announced a secondary purchase of a fund interest in Seraya Partners Fund I from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a multilateral development bank focused on financing sustainable infrastructure to drive inclusive growth.
Managed by Seraya Partners, Seraya Partners Fund I is an Asia-focused mid-market infrastructure fund with investments in sectors that support the region’s energy transition and sustainable infrastructure development. Its portfolio includes Cyan Renewables, Asia’s largest marine energy transition operator with 35 specialised vessels serving energy and offshore wind developers and contractors; and Empyrion Digital, a pan-Asia low-carbon data centre operator with 290 MW of operating and under-construction IT capacity.
Kim-See Lim, Chief Investment Officer, Public Sector (Region 1) & Financial Institutions and Funds (Global) Clients at AIIB said: “This transaction demonstrates how secondary markets can help mobilize additional private capital for sustainable infrastructure in Asia. As the region continues to face climate and development financing needs, AIIB will remain committed to working with partners to strengthen market confidence and channel long-term private capital across the region.”
The transaction gives GenZero exposure to an established portfolio of energy transition and sustainable infrastructure assets across key Asian markets. It also reflects GenZero’s conviction that Asia-Pacific will continue to play a critical role in global decarbonisation, given the scale of the region’s infrastructure needs and the opportunity to mobilise capital towards practical, commercially viable solutions.
Kimberly Tan, Head of Investments, GenZero, said, “This investment reflects GenZero’s commitment to accelerating Asia-Pacific’s energy transition through scalable, enabling infrastructure. It also highlights how development finance and long-term private capital can work in tandem to advance climate outcomes. AIIB’s anchor investment helped catalyse Seraya Partners Fund I. The acquisition of AIIB’s stake provides GenZero with exposure to a portfolio of high-quality operating infrastructure assets, while enabling development capital to be recycled into the next frontier of climate solutions.”
