Marie Cheong is a Founding Partner of Wavemaker Impact, the first VC backed climate tech venture builder in Southeast Asia. Wavemaker Impact co-founds startups with experienced entrepreneurs, with the aim of building a portfolio of scalable companies that can abate 10% of the global carbon budget.

Marie has worked with over 20 entrepreneurs to help them build their businesses. In the last two years, Marie has focused exclusively on launching climate tech startups in Southeast Asia and is passionate about increasing the pipeline of women founders in the sector.

Prior to joining Wavemaker Impact, Marie led the Venture Build program at ENGIE Factory, where she was responsible for building a portfolio of 10 climate tech ventures valued at over US $8m at pre-seed round.

Marie was also the general manager at a SAAS startup, and a senior member of KPMG’s Digital + Innovation team. Her career also includes stints in management consulting, and in a construction company where she specialized in operations strategy, business development, cost reduction and process improvement.

Marie has an MBA from the National University of Singapore where she graduated as valedictorian and holder of the Panasonic Marketing Award.

Benedict Chia is Director-General (Climate Change) from the National Climate Change Secretariat in the Strategy Group, Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore. He is responsible for driving Singapore’s climate change efforts and policies across key inter-agency workstreams, while bringing on board technical expertise and providing strategic advice.

Prior to that, Benedict has served in the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, as well as the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.

Radha Kuppali is a business and investment leader with a focus on developing innovative capital solutions to address climate change and promote the restoration and protection of nature.

Radha’s career in environmental finance has spanned across executive leadership in the asset management industry, start-up business development, and board roles in the finance, manufacturing, and environmental sectors. Since 2006, she has been an integral staff member and executive of New Forests, one of the world’s largest asset management businesses in sustainable forestry, land, and conservation finance. They are operating in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and across Southeast Asia and Africa. She currently holds the position of Managing Director, Impact and Advocacy. Radha serves on the boards of Accounting for Nature, which is developing the world’s leading environmental accounting standard, and Greening Australia, the country’s leading land restoration organisation. Radha began her career on the ground floor of the carbon markets, advising corporates and governments on opportunities and risks of climate change and energy policies around the world.

Radha has a Master Environmental Management and Master of Business Administration from Yale University.

Jacqueline Poh was appointed Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) on 4 October 2021. Prior to this, she was Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Strategy Group, which leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the strategic priorities of the Government. She also oversaw the National Population and Talent Division and the Centre for Strategic Futures.

Jacqueline was the founding Chief Executive of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), and was previously the Managing Director of the Infocommunications Development Authority (IDA). She has also held key positions in the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defence.

She currently sits on the Boards of SingHealth, Singapore Institute of Technology and Agency for Science, Technology and Research. She is the Chairperson of the DesignSingapore Advisory Board and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation.

Jacqueline is an alumnus of Oxford, Cambridge, INSEAD (MBA) and Stanford.

Ann-Marie Wun is a Director in the Investment Group at GenZero. She is responsible for investments in technology-based decarbonisation solutions.

Before GenZero, she was Head of Asia Pacific (Direct Investments/ Impact Investing) at an UHNW European single-family office. There, she led the deal sourcing of growth equity deals across Southeast Asia, Australia and Hong Kong, focusing on Clean tech, Sustainable Food & Agri, and Circular Economy. Ann-Marie has also worked as a Thailand coverage banker at Deutsche Bank and UBS serving clients from the real estate, technology, industrials and FMCG sectors.

Ann-Marie graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (IT track), Double major in Economics, and Master of Information Systems.
