Dr Greg Fischer is a member of the Sustainable Finance & Social Impact practices at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), working closely with the Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) and Corporate Finance & Strategy (CFS) teams. He specializes in sustainable investment strategies for private equity, asset, and wealth managers, working to build and integrate sustainable investment and management practices that generate value. He also co-leads BCG’s Impact Investing and Blended Finance activities globally.

Dr Fischer is committed to the idea that all companies can target social, environmental and sustainability impacts with the same rigor they use to pursue and maximize financial returns. In his work at BCG, Dr Fischer draws on 10 years of investment experience and nearly two decades of research into building and using evidence for better decision making and impact. He works with clients on change management for integrating commercial and sustainability operations, impact quantification and monetization, ESG data collection, management, and reporting, plus impact and sustainability diligence.

Prior to joining BCG, Dr Fischer was the Chief Economist of Y Analytics, which runs the environmental and social impact services for TPG’s Rise Fund as well as the ESG analysis for TPG’s full portfolio. He also co-founded a SaaS-based, sustainability and impact data collection, management, and reporting company.

Outside of BCG, Dr Fischer is a Professor of Practice in School of Public Policy and the Department of Finance at the London School of Economics, where he currently teaches a course on sustainable finance and impact investing. He has worked with many private companies, international development organizations, and NGOs to conduct and build their capacity for large-scale impact evaluations and has taught data science at the graduate and post-graduate level. Dr Fischer holds a PhD in economics from MIT, where he was a Presidential Scholar and NSF Fellow, and an AB in Economics (summa cum laude) from Princeton University.

Mark Herrema is the co-founder and CEO of Newlight Technologies. It was co-founded in 2003 with a vision of using greenhouse gas as a resource to make high-performance, sustainable materials.

After a decade of research, Mark and his team developed a technology using a process found in nature to convert greenhouse gas into a meltable energy storage material made in almost all known living things that can be used as an alternative to plastic, fiber, and leather. This technology is known as AirCarbon.

AirCarbon is now being used in fashion, food ware, automotive, and other industries, with a goal to help end climate change by using greenhouse gas as a resource. Newlight has received recognition as “Biomaterial of the Year” by the Nova Institute, “Innovation of the Year” by Popular Science, and “Technology Pioneer” by the World Economic Forum. In 2016, Newlight was awarded the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Mark graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, and has since garnered over 19 years of experience in process engineering, polymer functionalization, and strategic business development.

Angela Churie Kallhauge is the Executive Vice President for Impact at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). She joined EDF from the World Bank, where she headed the Secretariat of the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC).

Prior to that, she was at the Swedish Energy Agency where she worked for 14 years on climate change, energy, and development issues. She also worked on carbon market development issues such as portfolio development and capacity building in developing countries. Additionally, she served as the EU lead negotiator on adaptation and resilience issues under the UNFCCC for close to a decade and represented Sweden in the Adaptation Fund Board where she led the work on accreditation for direct access.

Angela also draws experience from her time at the International Renewable Energy Agency, where she was responsible for developing a climate change work program which places renewable energy action as a key part of climate change strategies. Prior to her engagement at the Swedish Agency, Angela spent close to a decade working at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and in Zimbabwe and Kenya with civil society organizations on climate, energy and development policy.

Radha Kuppali is a business and investment leader with a focus on developing innovative capital solutions to address climate change and promote the restoration and protection of nature.

Radha’s career in environmental finance has spanned across executive leadership in the asset management industry, start-up business development, and board roles in the finance, manufacturing, and environmental sectors. Since 2006, she has been an integral staff member and executive of New Forests, one of the world’s largest asset management businesses in sustainable forestry, land, and conservation finance. They are operating in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and across Southeast Asia and Africa. She currently holds the position of Managing Director, Impact and Advocacy. Radha serves on the boards of Accounting for Nature, which is developing the world’s leading environmental accounting standard, and Greening Australia, the country’s leading land restoration organisation. Radha began her career on the ground floor of the carbon markets, advising corporates and governments on opportunities and risks of climate change and energy policies around the world.

Radha has a Master Environmental Management and Master of Business Administration from Yale University.

Jacqueline Poh was appointed Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) on 4 October 2021. Prior to this, she was Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Strategy Group, which leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the strategic priorities of the Government. She also oversaw the National Population and Talent Division and the Centre for Strategic Futures.

Jacqueline was the founding Chief Executive of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), and was previously the Managing Director of the Infocommunications Development Authority (IDA). She has also held key positions in the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defence.

She currently sits on the Boards of SingHealth, Singapore Institute of Technology and Agency for Science, Technology and Research. She is the Chairperson of the DesignSingapore Advisory Board and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation.
