COP27 was the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a global summit where governments and other stakeholders discussed and negotiated actions to address the climate crisis. Hosted out of Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in November 2022, COP27’s aim was to inspire more ambition and cooperation among all stakeholders to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, which is to limit the global temperature rise to well below 2°C, preferably to 1.5°C, compared to pre-industrial levels.
